The Planning

This client had just bought the home, which she loved, but did not like the existing pool, even though it was just a year old. The family wanted a more natural looking pool and landscape, instead of the formal layout of the original pool.

The Design

The L-shaped backyard and wooded backdrop of the home gave us the inspiration we needed. We came up with a design that incorporated a spa connected to a pool with a stream, a large natural boulder waterfall and a smaller waterfall, native Oklahoma flagstone patio and specimen plant material to blend in with the wooded backdrop.

The Construction

After removing the existing formal pool, we worked within the constrains of the home’s layout and brought in large native Oklahoma boulders for the water features and Oklahoma flagstone for the patios and retaining walls. A Jandy remote control system with the Jandy AquaLinks PDA gives the homeowner easy access to all pool and spa functions, as well as the landscape lighting.

Philips Color Kinetics lighting system provides a dramatic setting at night with a touch of a button and includes eight different settings that are customized to the homeowner’s wishes, giving eight different moods – from relaxing all the way to party mode!
